I was faced with version 4. I think you’ll get some overlap with those two. It kinda sounds like you just don’t have the network login settings correct, in my opinion. I don’t have access to a PC so I can’t check the version. If you expect this to show up as an Airport Card with the RT drivers, forget it. Download Belkin’s from their version 3. Can you see the card in the System profiler or not? This is the only unit I’ve seen that lists OSX compatibility on the box.
Nothing much these days that will fit the Airport card slot however there are plenty of other options to choose from. Look for the Belkin network application in the applications folder and run it, it takes a minute for the SSID to show up in the list.
I like to keep my system as Apple only as I can. I bought the “new” version in the white box.
